Greaves Jams and Marmalades |
Located in the historical Queen-Picton district of Niagara-on-the-Lake, Greaves began making pure old-fashioned jams, jellies, marmalades and condiments in 1927 with fruits, vegetables, sugar and spices. Today, Greaves still uses their traditional technique of hand-stirring each batch in open stainless-steel kettles, and no pectin or preservatives are added.
The shop is located in the old town of Niagara-on-Lake, where customers can peruse and test the wide variety of preserves available. Although no longer located within the store, the production facilities are still located in the heart of the Niagara Fruitbelt.
Greaves Sweet Escape is just above their store. Escape to their circa 1845 heritage building offering a beautifully restored , bright and spacious loft suite, overlooking Niagara-on-the-Lake's historic Queen Street shopping district.
