The Virgil Dams and Conservation Area is a 50 hectare (123 acre) parcel of land which is home to the Four Mile Creek flood plain and Virgil Reservoir. This area is ideal for a leisurely stroll or a picnic with the family. Surrounded by farm fields, the Virgil Dam Conservation Area is a hidden oasis on the edge of town.
Recreational fishing is a popular activity on the Four Mile Creek which contains carp and large mouth bass. Fishing Licences are required. All provincial regulations and seasonal restrictions, and conservation area rules must be followed.
Canoeing and kayaking are possible on the Four Mile Creek if you can find an appropriate place to launch your boat.
