In 2008 the Europa Antiques church building was recognized as a building of historical significance and cultural heritage by the Town of Niagara on the Lake and the province of Ontario.
There was a photo and article in the Ontario Heritage Trust magazine Heritage Matters. Volume 6, Issue 3. September 2008.
The land that the church building sits on was donated to the Anglican Church from land that had been given to one of Butler's Rangers (from War of 1812 fame) for his services rendered.
Europa Antiques has always been aware of the positive ecological effects of being in the antique business.
Being at the forefront of recycling and providing something of beauty at the same time has always appealed to the owner-operators.
How nice that the world is finally catching on to this green way of living and enjoying the refined beauty the craftspeople of the past have left us.
