Mathias Farms is a family owned and operated fruit farm that offers Pick Your Own and ready picked fruit for the public. They grow and sell among many other products, cherries, pears and raspberries.  Visitors are welcome and they can accommodate bus tours by appointment. 
 

Busy as they are, they also participate in the local Pelham and Ridgeway Farmers' Markets and are also a Niagara Local Food Co-operative Producer.  . This is just like buying from the farm gate but members order produce on line. "Then we deliver the baskets of fresh food to the pickup point.  If you live in Niagara you should consider becoming a  member!"
 

"We like to encourage families to come to our farm as part of their visit to the Niagara 
Peninsula.  Children are welcome, as long as their family supervises them.  Bringing your 
own container is helpful, but not necessary.  All interested parties should call first to 
enquire as to the picking conditions before coming out to the farm.  This is especially 
true for large groups.

 
Mathias Farms is a third generation farm that is currently run by a brother and sister 
team…Tom Mathias and Beth Secord.  "Mom and Dad gifted the farm to us when they moved to 
Jamaica in 1974.  Dad is now back in Canada and living on the farm with us.  He is retired 
now but grows the most awesome vegetable garden."

"We use an Integrated Pest Management system for maintaining our crops. This means we use 
the least harmful products; we use them only as needed and have reduced our use of products by 20% over conventional methods."
