Discover a yummy for your tummy platz at Nokar Farms. If you don't know what a platz is, farmer and baker Kathryn Ferretti winks and says to look on her website, on the Fruit Stand page. The aroma of baking will pull you all the way in to their pretty little fruit stand. The Nokara farm is 115 acres in size growing primarily peaches and strawberries.  Home-baked tarts and pies are a specialty of this farm, on top of the fresh fruit available at the farm market. There is also a pick-your-own strawberry patch during the mid-June Strawberry season open to visitors wishing to collect fresh berries for baking or eating.  Relax this summer at their private cottage located in St. Catharines on the south shore of Lake Ontario, just minutes from Old Port Dalhousie and 15 minutes from Niagara Falls and Niagara-on -the-Lake. Enjoy nearby walking and biking trails, theatres and museums. The quaint cottage sleeps up to 6 people and is equipped with a full kitchen, outdoor patio and BBQ, and satellite TV. Daily continental/self-catered breakfast is included.
