General Information

The Great Mountain Centre carries historical ties to the Niagara wine industry it was once the site of Bright's Wine, which preceded the popular and booming wine industry we see today.  Now featuring an ice cream shop and a ginseng retail centre, visitors can stop by for a dessert, or purchase ginseng, a new and significant crop to Ontario. The ginseng shop provides a guided tour for all bus tours and tourists free of charge, giving detailed descriptions on how ginseng is grown, the ideal conditions in which to grow ginseng, and the history and health benefits of ginseng consumption.
