General Information

John Neufeld and his family originally joined the wine industry as growers, not wine-makers.  However, in the late 1990s with some surplus icewine juice, John collaborated with a local winemaker to create an award-winning Vidal Icewine.  Since then, the Neufeld's began Palatine Hills, opening a wine boutique featuring a selection of their VQA wines and icewines. 

Visitors are welcome to browse this small-scale winery located on the Neufeld's 120-acre vineyard near Lake Ontario.  Home winemakers can also purchase wine grape juice through Palatine Hills to create their own wine.
