Perched atop 65 acres of the Beamsville Bench, EastDell Estates enjoys a panoramic view of rolling vineyards with Lake Ontario and the Toronto skyline glittering in the distance.

Earl and Sadie Walters owned this area of vineyards beside a beautiful hardwood forest, and started the construction of the winery in 1994 when they selectively harvested wood from their woodland.  Bringing in a portable saw they cut boards from the trunks, let them age, and then started contstruction of Walters Estates Winery and restaurant made entirely of wood and stone from the property.  Sadie and Earl Walters opened their doors in 1996. 

In 1999 Susan O'Dell and partner Michael East from Toronto purchased the winery.  A third partner, Murray Watson, joined them in 2001 and subsequently Diamond Estates became the new owner.

The winerys rustic main building houses a wine boutique and the VIEW Restaurant. 

Also located on EastDells property is the Herons Nest Cabin which is available to rent. 

The natural features of Niagara are incorporated into every aspect of the winery from the vineyards and winemaking practices, to the restaurants focus on seasonal cuisine, to the preservation of the propertys spectacular Carolinian woodlot and nature trails.
