Haulage Road Trail (NFLS) |
Haulage Road Trail, an abandoned roadway, is one of the older trails in Niagara Falls. Its original purpose was used for hauling rock that was excavated from the Niagara Power Canal. It has two main entrance points; one at St. Paul Avenue and the other at Mountain Road. The trail travels on to Fireman's Park which is a large naturalized park owned by the Stamford Centre Volunteer Firemen's Association. The Bruce Trail passes through the northerly section of Firemen's Park and provides an opportunity for the more avid hikers. This trail provides the perfect opportunity for visitors to go for a short hike and enjoy the beautiful scenery and natural surroundings of Fireman's Park.
