Lots of Short Hills Bicycling Route |



This cycling route will take you through scenic back roads on top of the Niagara Escarpment. A mixture of farming and natural areas are scattered throughout the landscape amongst valleys that were once part of a system of rivers that formed the Twelve Mile Creek. You will pass Short Hills Provincial Park, which features two off-road cycling trails. Before departure or upon return you should take a look the deep-cut gorge of Rockway Falls located right beside the Rockway Community Centre.
Further along the route, cyclists will find themselves near the top of the Fonthill Kame and close to the Lookout Point Golf Club, which is the highest point in the escarpment and which provides a view of Lake Ontario and the Niagara River on clear days.
