General Information
Welcoming people of all ages and abilities, the Palaeozoic Path follows a wheel-friendly route on the southwest fringe of Short Hills Provincial Park. Follow the red (#3) trail markers.
The trail is an interactive experience with the natural surroundings, passing by lookout sites, educational stations and wildflower gardens. The trail is approximately 800 metres in length and features Swayze Falls, a wonderful attraction during the spring melt and after prolonged periods of rain.

Ecological
Tree species along the path include introduced Norway spruce (Picea abies), native sugar maple (Acer saccharum) and white pine (Pinus strobus), and escaped or volunteer cultivated apple varieties (Malus domestica).Recreational
The Paleozoic Path was designed to give people with disabilities and beginner hikers an opportunity to experience the park. The path has a hard gravel surface suitable for wheel chairs and baby strollers and offers several barrier-free benches with scenic views. Mountain bikers and horseback riders are not permitted on this trail.Recreational Uses
