Grimsby Museum's 17th Annual Fundraising Dinner |
"The Grimsby Museum's seventeenth annual fundraising dinner with the theme, A Silver Celebration, will be held on Saturday November 7, 2009 at Grimsby's Casablanca Winery Inn.
Tickets are limited and reservations will be accepted until Friday October 30, 2009.
During the entertainment portion of the evening, guests will take a stroll down memory lane returning to the 1980s, a decade known for its glamour and glitz, when Nigel Sloan of Evenfest looks back to 1984 and beyond through a light-hearted and quick-witted game of Grimsby Wheel of fortune.
Following the entertainment a four-course gourmet dinner, with a selection of Niagara wines will be served at 8:00 pm.
The silent auction and live auction conclude the evening.
This year’s live auction features a signed Yvon Cournoyer jersey with certificate of authenticity, a signed Martin Brodeur jersey with certificate of authenticity, one night’s stay in a luxury suite at the Casablanca Winery Inn including dinner and breakfast for tow, dinner at a private historic home, a catered meal cooked at your home personal chef James Cuttriss of “The Heat is On Catering” and an original sculpture by Beamsville artist Floyd Elzinga.
Proceeds raised from the fundraising dinner will support the annual programmes offered by the Grimsby Museum and the care and preservation of the permanent artefact collection.
The dinner is generously sponsored by Erie Powder Coatings, Phelps Homes Limited and Lincoln Park Retirement Community." West Niagara News. October 21, 2009.
