Beamsville Strawberry Festival |

Imagine this — big, red, ripe, juicy strawberries, a sunny day in June and hundreds of families enjoying the great outdoors. Add to this, terrific entertainment, arts and crafts, delicious food and much, much more, as well as having the Beamsville Strawberry Festival. For over 33 years the people of Lincoln have worked together to stage a day full of free family fun—there’s no charge for admission or for the entertainment.
Three stages of entertainment go on from morning to night, ending with a fabulous fireworks display by Garden City Display Fireworks. Don’t miss the Strawberry Idol Contest which showcases the finals for our competitors aged 19 years of age and under.

The Beamsville Strawberry Festival Association has been working hard at making the festival not only fun for families, but also more environmentally friendly and educates the public on environmental importance! Some of the initiatives include:
1) Recycling: The festival promotes recycling though their Eco-Defenders Challenge. People bring recyclable items to the Eco-Defenders Headquarters and get a ticket for each item. They can then turn in the tickets for rewards (prizes) that have been donated. Each year the festival gets in thousands of recyclables this way!
2) Geo-Venture Rock & Mineral Show: This geology show has a lot going on. Not only do they sell rocks and jewelry, but they have displays on the geology of our planet. Kids get to “dig” for fossils in a sand pit or carve soapstone.
3) Agriculture: As a Strawberry Festival, the association promotes farming and agriculture.
The Strawberry Festival has various fun activities available for all ages, but they do vary from year to year. Some of the most common activities that will take place each year includes demonstrations from the Niagara Tennis Academy and competitive fun with the Bed Races, Recliner Races, Soccer, Ball-Hockey. There are tons of activities for children to enjoy, such as inflatable activities and the popular Teddy Bear picnic!
